To register on HomeFinder go to the registration page and enter your name, email address and password.
If you are an agent, your registration number is required to be displayed in some countries, on your property pages.
If you are marketing properties in more than one country, please register separately for each country.
Your very own business webpage is created once you register at HomeFinder. In addition to the information that you provide in this profile, your webpage will include all your property listings.
If you are a property consultant, you should provide relevant information about your capabilities and areas of specialization. For instance, the property sectors and geographical regions where you operate.
You may add your photograph by clicking on the photo image, and textual information by clicking the text labels.
If you have another website, click the website label to add a link to the site. Not only will this enable traffic from HomeFinder to your site, it will also improve your site’s search ranking.
To draw traffic to your business webpage, ensure that your profile contains the information that property buyers/tenants are seeking.
Once you have completed your profile, you have the option of topping up your account balance with HomeFinder for advertising purposes.
And you may also start listing your properties.
To list your property for sale or for rent on HomeFinder, you need to provide relevant information. Most of the content is optional, yet to attract and convert prospective buyers and tenants, more information is usually better than less.
On this form, the property type, headline 1 and description 1 are the required fields.
The three headlines and the two descriptions are configured for advertising on Google Ads, as also the title and description of your property on HomeFinder’s search results.
The illustrations at the bottom, shows how the information appears in Google text ads on mobile phones and larger screen devices.
HomeFinder’s big benefit is that it advertises your properties, and the ads are customized based on your content. This helps you rent out and sell your properties faster by directing traffic straight to your property pages. When users click on the ad they land directly on your property page on mas-homefinder.com.
So that your advertisement has the desired impact, ensure that the content captures the key features and aspects about your property.
On this page you can describe your property in much greater detail. Unlike classified ads, where content volume adds to cost, on the internet space is not a constraint. So don’t simply cut and paste your old ads. Instead use the opportunity to truly describe your property so that it resonates with your prospects.
The long description on this form, allows for 2,800 characters, and can be split into paragraphs and sub-titles. Use p and h4 tags for <p>paragraphs</p> and <h4>sub-titles</h4> . For example the text shown below is split into two paragraphs under one sub-title.
<h4>Chuan Park Condominium</h4>
<p>Most condominiums tend to be cramped, crowded and claustrophobic. Chuan Park on the other hand is spacious and tranquil. The compound is littered with gardens, and the buildings well-spaced out. With a relatively small, fairly close-knit population of residents, its wide range of facilities are rarely crowded and remain easily available.</p>
<p>The condo is situated next to the Lorong Chaun MRT, and close to Serangoon MRT, NEX shopping centre, Australian International School and Stamford American International School. Bishan Junction 8, Chomp Chomp, St Gabriel’s Primary School, Nanyang Junior College, Yangzheng Primary School, Zhonghua Secondary School and Lycee Francais de Singapour are also nearby.</p>
This section of the property listing form is intended for location details, which are very useful not only for prospective buyers or tenants, but also for the personalization algorithms that optimize the HomeFinder platform.
HomeFinder personalizes users’ experience by showing properties that are of greatest relevance to them. Besides the price tag and information on facilities, the platform filters properties based on location filters. So if a user is viewing a property on HomeFinder in proximity, the platform will alert the user to check out your property under “similar posts”.
While other indicators are useful, the pin code is the most accurate indicator of a property’s location. So even though it is not a required field, you might want to include it in your submission. The ‘Show PIN’ check box gives you the option to provide the PIN on a confidential basis. If it is unchecked, HomeFinder’s will use the pin code only for implicit personalization, without posting it for users to see.
Click the Add Image button to include images.
You have the option of pasting the image URL provided the image exists on some other site, or you may upload the image if it exists on your device.
Click the Add Video button to embed videos from video sharing sites like YouTube or Vimeo. To do this you need to first upload the video on to the sharing site. Then go to the video at the site, click the SHARE button under the video, and click Embed. From the text box that appears, copy the code and paste it here.
Consider adding image and video descriptions so that search engines like Google can decipher what the image portrays. From a search optimization perspective, knowing what the image depicts permits Google to better rank your property images as well as the property webpage.
This section of the property listing form is populated with the contact details you provided in your profile. You may change these if you prefer that prospective buyers/tenants contact you on a different email or phone number.
You may now preview the post, and if you are satisfied, go ahead and post it. If you opt for Post LATER, you may do so at any time from your Home page.
The Home page allows you to manage your assets on HomeFinder. You can edit, preview, refresh, de-list and delete posts.
Importantly the Home page is also where you control the advertising of posts. Click the HOME tab on the menu bar to go to the page.
This is your control centre. Here you can list, preview, de-list, delete, edit, refresh and advertise your ads.
It is advisable to refresh posts that are more than a month old. A refresh re-sets the post’s date, indicating that it remains active, thus raising it’s ranking on HomeFinder’s result pages.
To advertise, click the ADVERTISE button, then select the duration of the ad, and the daily budget (spend/day).
HomeFinder’s algorithms optimize the ad through campaign settings, choice of keywords, and by adjusting the CPC rate. You retain control on progress and can pause, abort and re-new the ad at any time. (Refer notes at the bottom of this page on the rationale for advertising).
To pay for your advertising, you need to maintain an account balance with HomeFinder, and you do so by topping up.
HomeFinder uses PayPal for online transactions since it is safe and easy to use, and because you can pay with or without a PayPal account.
If you do not have a PayPal account, click on the “Pay with Credit or Debit Card” option on PayPal’s login page.
All HomeFinder transactions, irrespective of your geographic location, are in Singapore dollars.
